Default Les Gets.......NO SNOW!
Ahhhhhhhhh, I am going away on the 21st (9 days!!) to Les Gets, to go snowboarding..........BUT, there is a small probelm....there is hardly any snow!

Have to admit, I will be quite disappointed if there is no snow! Anyone know if there is anything to do out there if there is no snow?? I might try to get my D/H bike out there, but the plane company might have some issues with that!

Here is a quote for the state of snow in the french Alps:

After a promising start to the season, with resorts such as Val Thorens (30/95cm) opening three weeks earlier than expected and some unseasonably large dumps in the southern Alps, the resorts in France continue in a downward trend. Many of the large, high resorts such as Les Deux Alpes (5/150cm) have not had any new snow for two weeks. Decent conditions can still be found in a number of the higher resorts, Tignes (26/100 cm) has good skiing on the upper slopes and Serre Chevalier's heavy snowfall of last week has been well maintained and has contributed to a good base of 120cm at the top. More snow is needed as we move into the busy Christmas period

In the webcam I see enough snow to have fun. and maybe they simply shoot some artificial one when needed, no?

It seems there is enough snow 2 go.. But I though there is no fresh snow for 1 or 2 weeks.. Cause there is no snow on trees..
