Veyron Targa

VW has commisioned a company named Webasto to produce a removable targa roof for it's 252mph supercar. There is no space anywhere in the car to stow away the roof but owners will be able to replace it temporarily with a fabric cover. Of course this does effect the top speed due to aerodynamical issues, with the fabric roof the car will be restricted to 220mph, which is poor

Yeah, I was going to say, "temporary" soft top will definitely not last long at 100mph.

Cool idea though, I'm sure taking off its roof on a nice day would be much nicer than having it on

im sorry, i was referrring to the fact that they are seemingly designing this one to survive 220 mph.... which is simply unbelievable, and amazine...

where other soft tops dont even come close to comparing

The problem is they have "announced" a 220mph soft top.. they have to go design one now.. they are about to learn why airplanes don't have canvas canopies

By the time you have beefed it up to withstand the pressure you hae a canvas covered hardtop

right.. it's just physically impossible to drive with a canvas top at 200+

Don´t forget that the Veyron has many things on it that were called "impossible" before, so i think they can manage this aswell! Veyron rules
