P8 (pictured above as a rendering by Auto-Motor-Und-Sport): It is unclear whether this high-performance, two-passenger coupe will be produced, but there is word that the new Mercedes management has put it back on the drawing board. The car would be manufactured by partner McLaren, which makes the SLR. It would be powered by the new AMG-engineered, 510-hp, 6.3-liter V-8. It could appear as early as 2008.

Actually, P8 concept pics began coming out in early 2004, and they had similar styling queues to the R8 back then.

The R8 final concept pics came out after the P8 pics, whilst the LeMans pics came out at roughly the same time...

But this is still just an artists rendition... who knows if the end product will look the same.

These photoshop "artists" are horrible these days.. we need some of the kids here on JW to send in their work to these magazines and make much better chops.

That is blatently a R8 with MB parts copied and pasted on top.. They need to kick Benz out of the equation and let McLaren do there own thing in order to make a real performance car.
