I'm a bit surprised at the RX8 as well...though I can only assume that that stems from the rotor apex seal problems they were having which require warranteed engine replacements...

^Lets not forget the 350z is just around the corner w/ more torque and possibly better fuel consumption.

I was also suprised, but it does seem like the cayman is stealing sales from the boxter.

And I thought the Boxter was made to save Porsche by creating a cheaper, easier to make sports car to sell to the masses.

With Porsche it's not about making as many cars as you can and making the most money.

They actually wound back production of Cayenne for MY07 to protect used values.

They don't want to make the same mistake BMW have in Europe.

In the US the dealers order in cars in advance ad them sell them from foecourts, in Europe we order our cars from the factory and wait patiently for 10 months.

In Fact.......the Cayman is one of the MOST dissappointing Porsches in terms of sales numbers....EVER. Caymans are basically sitting on dealer lots untouched here in the US....the 2006 models which came here are now being sold as "pre-owned" because they've been at dealers for too long.

don't be surprised if the Cayman is discontinued and/or drastically changed in the next 2 years.
Good news then - a good performer for a bargain price in a couple of years
You read my mind I should look into how much they are going for around here.

Hmm.ever heard of this.. ever - a previous year model not registered, is not pre-owned.

Sounds a little like urban legend.

Yeah, maybe at significant discounts. I've seen a good number of them around the Bay Area, I thought they were selling well.
