Ok places being crossed off my moving list.
I'm actually a bit suprised to see California dominating this list. I was expecting Detroit and New York City somewhere on the list honestly. I guess that is just for car jacking.

Wow, Phoenix dropped to 4th? they dominated the list for 3 or 4 years. Yakima is really the only surprise i see on there.

I think Seattle has dropped a bit too. i think we were 4th or 5th for a little while.

I'm actually not. The number of high end cars there actually help to bring the number down given the fact that they have the transponder keys that release the starter. You'd have to flat out car jack the person in order to steal the car.

My girlfriend and I really want to go to the strip for new years celebrations but we're both afriad to park either of our cars anywhere near the strip because of the theft rate here (See #2 )

Casinos won't allow the public to use their parking garages that night, only people with room keys or show tickets can park on the 31st. And a tip I got from a Metro PD officer was to be aware of places I would park my car where theves would know for certain I won't be returning for at least 30 mins. or so (like a gym.) I've heard numerous times that valet lots at casinos lose cars nearly every weekend.

I'm sure a lot of people are gonna get jacked new-years eve....
