Asshole ferrari owner
Ok so im in santa barbara yesterday evening with some friends, walking down state street, when a beuatiful silver Maranello pulls up to a stop light out of no where, now you never see these things, so i proceed to ask the guy to please rev it, because the 575 sounds immaculate, and the guy give me the one minute finger, and then does nothing and the light turns green and he motors off like an ass. Now he noticed me, he heard me, his car looked great, he didnt have to be an ass. How many people actually take the time to go half way in the street to ask him to rev? not many i bet, if i were him i would have revved. This is why i must major in business and make enough money to buy a 575.

I think this is Car Chat material.
Anyway, yea, he didn't have to be a dick about it. If I owned a Ferrari, I'd gladly rev it up for anyone who asked! Hell, they wouldn't need to ask, I'd sit at the light doing it so I could hear it.

What a dick. If he didn't want to rev it, he could have at least just said 'no, sorry' and left it at that. Why middle finger? ...dick...

Agree too, he didn't want to share his "toy" or maybe, it was a replica with a VW Beetle engine ... and he didn't want you discover it.

Man a Lotus 340r that's one of the few really nice cars I've never had the pleasure of seeing in person. Our local import shop has everything, Enzo (used to have 2 my friends neighbor bought one he's a senior VP at abbott pharmaceuticals) every other ferrari, lamborghini, lotus, jaguar, aston martin, maseratti, bugatti, and a McLaren F1 (I've sat inside the thing)

Agree he was a fucking idiot. I was in a similar situation 2 months ago when I saw the new Lamborghini Gallardo. It was leaving a parking and I approached to the car and I did signs with my hands to the driver to ask him to push hard the engine. He looked at me and because he didn't understand me he opened the door and asked me what I wanted...I told him if he could rev the engine. He smiled and he answered me that the car was rather cold and that he shouldn't do that. However, he thought a bit moment and told me to go to the corner of the car park. I went there, he approached to me and when he was at my side made me an OK sign with the hand and left the place pushing really very, very hard!! I can still remeber the smell of burn tyres...

Sure the guy sounded like an asshole, but maybe he was in a bad mood. Maybe his wife had just died and he was on the way to the morgue to identify her mangled body.... You never know.
