are the 318's worth buying if you'd also have a 535 if you could?
I'm wavering between the two - unless I can find a 325, but they're 20% above what I can reasonably afford so far

YEah brink whassa deal?!
525i wagon would just be tooo damn heavy for that engine in my opinion. Havin a hard time finding a GOOD 325i in my budget too. I started looking at a wider range of cars again in hopes to find the one.

I guess wagon's are rare in US and Canada... whats wrong with e34 Z? I heard from owners they are bulletproof if they were kept serviced regularly by previous owners ofcourse.

Yeah, they're rare cars, it's just that my neighbor has a 530i Touring here in MA. The small V8, not the straight-6. So I'm used to the sight. Yeah, If I had to buy an older wagon I'd just go for an S6 Avant from 1995.
Love those sleeper estates!

That's nothing... BMW also sold a 518i Touring with a 1.8L 113hp engine. 0-100km/h in 13.4sec

^Reminds me of this ad for a 1980s Ford wagon, with mattress included in the back. It was quite cheap.
