Default It's a Boxter, and you aren't fooling anybody...

BOXSTERA GT

Boxster turned into Carrera GT - nobody fooled

There's nothing that says 'I wish I had a better Porsche but could only afford a Boxster' quite like this. This is a Boxster that has been made into a Carrera GT look-a-like and while you have to admire the work put into it, I'm afraid it ain't fooling anyone. From some angles it doesn't look too bad but then you venture around to the rear three-quarters and start to wonder if you are in a Stuttgart hall of mirrors. It is like when a Hollywood A-lister gets some dodgy plastic surgery - all the features are still there but it just doesn't look right.
The car started life as a Boxster but has been stretched by 12" 'in both directions', says the eBay seller. 'If you are a quiet shy person, this is not the right car for you. When I drive this car, I am photographed at least 5 times before I get home,' he says.
The car has 66,000 miles and the seller is after $80,000 for it. So the price of an almost new 911 in the States then...

OMG. What compels people to do things like this? It screams "i-couldn't-afford-the-real-deal", but "i love attention".

Possibly not because you are cool, mate. This doesn't even look like a Carrera GT, especially from the rear.

I actually quite like the Boxster. I know it's the cheap Porsche for people who can't afford Carreras, but it's still a great car.

Agreed mate. The Boxster S, in particular, is great fun on a track, or a road with some corners. GREAT fun.

Next steep: transform a fiat punto(old) in a enzo...just turn the front lamps upside , change the suspension, and change "iat" by "errari" ...oo dont forget to put some aero parts to! and paint it with yellow(red is too much obvious)

I always say this. If he put that much effort, time, and money into turning a Boxter into a Carrera GT (rather good work, from the looks of it). Why does he not make something unique that he can truly call his own?

Oh, that's right. Cause he's an IDIOT!
