you are kind of a post whore huh........

it's not a heal/toe "drift" by the way. it's a way to revmatch while downshifting so not to stress the drivetrain and clutch and keep the front end of the car from "diving" when getting hard on the brakes and getting into the proper gear to lay down the power as you exit a corner. lay off the initial d for awhile.

I have heel-and-toe downshifted many times and when the roads are clear, I use the technique for fun. As for drifting, the only cars I've been able to drive for any protracted time are front drive, so the only ways to drift are essentially the Scandanavian flick (feignt to one side, then turn to the other), lift off oversteer, or finally, a handbrake turn, all of which I've tried at different points in time. My dad lives on a curvy dirt road, that is just about perfect for "rally driving," so that's where I've done most of my practice, though I have drifted a Mustang GT in a mall parking lot (and I do mean drift, not donut, though we did some donuts too hehehe)

I do heel & toe all the time when I'm on a circuit or just having fun on a twisty roads but I don't know how to drift though.

armaniboi-
Sounds like you might want to get yourself some better shoes or not have wet shoes on when you're attempting to heel-and-toe. The kind of car you drive may also have an impact on whether or not you're able to do it properly and safely. If the gas and brake pedals are too far apart, it's nigh on to impossible to do it well and safely. What kind of car do you drive by the way?

lol- well said. As brijoel mentioned, heel/toe is a techinque to downshift properly while braking in order to achieve the right amount of power during corner exits. Although heel/toeing is used during brake drifting, it's not a maneuver exclusively for drifting.

-I think it's funny that a lot of people think they know all about driving just by watching cartoons/videos
