I'm a big fan of Volvo,I'm also a big fan of the Holden Monaro but proably never ever get to own one,But the volvo is My ideal road car..But anyway,I want a volvo S40 or 850 in 2 years later..(long time I know,But my parents are willing to buy it for me once I finish School)
Thats why I haven't got a silvia S13 since my last thread when I said what car do you reckon I should buy when I had that poll..,but my parents don't want me to have a Silvia.They think I will be a hoon and be a target for the police,proably very true as well because I do have lead foot..
I know most car can be riced up,And I have huge plans once I got my volvo to do it up.My plans in a 5 years after I got it,is slowly do it up..my mods I hope to do up the engine without placing a turbo and dropping the compression.Get the engine completely blue printed,Blance and then Port and Polish the heads,get the cams done.Then have nice exhuast system and extractors.And have a 5 throotle bodies,and ECU up grade.Lighten flywheels and heavy duty clutch.
The suspension will be lower and spring been changed for harder ones,And A nice set of 18 inch mags,.And touring car bodykit..Something that looks like the car below..



Is this car counted as rice if I did it up like that?I want to know,because my mate and I have been having this argument for ages.He reckons yes..I know it seems like pipe dream at the moment,but thats my dream car. This is no shit.I'm not making any lies or anything on those lines.But thats what I'm working for.What do you reckon?What is rice anyway?What is counted as rice?

As long as it has the go to match the show - it would be just "rice looking" -- BUT if it was all show and no go - then definite rice...

i've seen a Honda CRV with a huge Mitsubishi Ralliart windshield banner decal
that's what i would call "extremely rice"

i like it, i saw one race just like that in el salvador.. broke down on the final lap and the guy had to push it past the finish line.. it was a right hand drive

If u can ever get your car that low on the road then all credit to you!! You'll be eating gearbox's and driveshafts weekly!!! If you get the graphics and make it a replica but its not as quick then yes it is a bit ricey! But if u can get it that quick, and that low then wud b fat.

he hasen't done anything yet.. he just needs 2 know if it will be rice if he does anything to it!!!

kangaroo. No wings!!! no gay decals....keep ur exterior clean. shave the door handles!(i like this one if u got the electrical skill to do it), seamless bodypanels (gives a 'one peice' feel)...just remeber what RC45 said.... all show no go is fuckin hurtin. dont be an a/v and exterior wizard!! keep it clean and make it powerful!!!

OK...there's a difference between Rice and Race...the Volvo S40 up there at the top is definetely RACE. The orange shitter down below is definetely RICE.

Yes there is, but with volvos and saabs its called lutefisk. If you're gonna lutefisk out your volvo it had better go fast or at least be fun to drive. good luck with that.
