Stupid Norwegian Politicians! Going to limit cars to 100km/h
I hate the Norwegians Politicians! I just saw the news, where the Norwegian politicians where considering to limit cars to a 100km/h!!!
THEY CAN'T DO THAT!! :2gunfire:
What if us, the Norwegians, are going to Denmark, then we're needed to have cars that can go at least 120km/h because that's the speed limit in Sweden! And what if we're going to pass a car, then we'd need 2 miles of straight tarmac before we can get pass it! I don't understand what the politicians are thinking, if they're thinking at all!
If that is going to happen, then I'm moving to Germany, Die Autobahn! Where I can go as fast as the car allows, WITHOUT limiter!

LOL that's called "speed limit" the max allowed, but on most highways you are allowed as far as your car can go faster than 60 km/h so you won't have no problem at all you will just be passed by old Ladas, big trucks and so on

But the Norwegian speed limit is 80 on regular roads outside villages and 100 on highways. That's why the limiter is going to be at 100km/h.

Yes, yes, but you said in Danemark you HAVE to go at 120 km/h while this is just the maximum allowed speed and no problem if you go slower

I'm relaxed too, but what if.. They've already gotten those limiters in cars weighing more than 3 500 kg. I don't even understand why the politicians even could think of getting a limiter!

But if Denmark has got the same system as Norway, then the drivers who go 20km/h slower or more while rush-hour, then they'll get a ticket. But I'm sure that the politicians won't put in the limiters. *crossing all of his fingers*

I think there's already a movie named Getaway In Oslo, but I and Brembo might be filming a 2nd movie, where we go over 100 km/h. Stop us now you lousy politician!

But try to picture people having street races... Or if the police get's the same limiter, foreigners going 120km/h and running away from the police because of the limiter...

Sorry but are you saying that the government is going to require all vehicles to be retrofitted with 100 km/h speed limiters? while a 100km/h speed limit alone is somewhat ridiculous (in Michigan its 65, but most people do 85 mph + ).
What would be the justification for this? Is there a real problem with high speed traffic fatalities there? Also whats to stop the Germans, Dutch, French.. etc from speeding while they are in Norway, since their vehicles are not equipped with the limiter?

There are a lot of people who doesn't keep the speed limits here, even though we've got about 1000 photo boxes. The Politicians doesn't think about the other cars from other country, but I think that they might think that if we'll start with it, then the other countries might follow..

It will not happen, I am very relaxed on this point.........
|
I am not so relaxed, i think it could happen and i fear the France would be tempted to follow this example as the law is now very restrictive on the road. The minister of transport already visited a country in Norway where the speed is limited by satellite depending where the car is (town, road, highway ...).
Moreover, in Germany, all the highways are not derestricted and this is sometimes in doubt

You shouldn't worry yg60m, cause there is at least some politicians that will vote against that suggestion. But if it do happen, then I'll move to a country where they don't have those limiters. Let's just cross our fingers and hope for the best thing. *crossing all off his fingers. having problems pressing the mouse with fingers crossed*

This is because of a new directive from the European Union (EU).
Vehicles over 3.5 tons will be 'ordered' (didn't find a better word..) before year end 2004 to install a speed limiter in the vehicle that limits the speed to 90 or 100 kmh
So not for smaller cars yet, but the minister of transportation in Norway says they will discuss the idea of applying this for normal cars as well (<3,5 tons). no chance...
