Karting

hey!
this is just a thread to see if there is anyone here whos does karting as a hobby or professionally, i have one(tony chasis, kawa 125cc shifter) and i plan to race it but i just moved so there is hard to go right now like not having a pick up, problems running, etc...
so if someone karts i wil have some quedtions
and does someone have the karting id where the f1 drivers race? i heard of it and saw the highlight but i really want to see all of it.

I really want to get into Karting. I've tried it a few times and loved it. Where do you get your supplies (chassis.. engine etc.)? Does anyone knoe any good tracks/ clubs in Southern california?

Karting is fun. Haven't done other than rental karts though.
My 13 year old little brother got a kart last summer and started training almost every weekend, so I'm exited to se how he will be doing this year.

I've competitively raced carts before and it was fun while it lasted, I think it develops your driving skills a lot, its just not as expensive as any other type of racing yet it brings a lot of adrenaline rush! Very simple to operate, so you can concentrate on learning how to enter and exit the turns. All these experiences you make from the car could be used on larger scale vehicles and is very handy when you need it. My advise would be if you have the chance to get into competitive sport of karting do it!

well i dont get supplies, i just have one kart and bcaus ei just moved here i dont know where to buy stuff, ill have to go to the track to get to know pwople and ask some questions, and if u want to buy a kart u can just buy one off ebay, i did that and nothing is wrong with it,, but if ur a begginer i recomend u a automatic one, mine is shifter and its alot if fun but if u want to b in competitions u wont stand a chance becuas epros know hw and when to use the gears perfectlly.

do u mean like the go karts u rent like for 5 laps? becuase the ones im talking about r like this one:

I used to have one, really old one and slow, but it got fucked up. My parrot destroyed the gas tank and we never fixed it up... rain came down and oxidated the carting =(

I've read about it in EVO and magazines like that and they say its a lot of fun and it develops your driving skills, I just dont have the time or money to get into it right now...

I've Karted i think, about 4 or 5 times. When we went on a holiday once, my parents decided to pull out all the stops and managed to get us 12 laps of the Langkawai INternational Kart circuit all to ourselves, where they hosted the Rotax Go-Kart World Championships. So there we were, me, 3 brothers, dad, and three friends, in a 12 lap Kart race! I won, best lap of a minute 35 secs, compared to my second bro who did a minute 42. Dad got third. Ever suice then, well, i do it whenever i can. Hopefully, they're going to build a track here soon. TYhen i'll be doing it every weekend, for sure.

Yes, I love it, but I only did it a few times.

Hopefully, during the summer I could check it out and maybe salvage some extra cash and buy one (too bad I have no money).

For the last few weeks I was trying to find facilities around here that do such a thing.
