I've heard that a detuned version of the Gallardo V10 may offered in the A6 5.0.! 8) Any word on whether this will actually be part of the new A6 engine line up?
Can't wait for the new RS4 :shock:

Why a detuned version ? The 2005 m5 will have a v10 pushing 500hp , that is what the current gallardo engine pushes ... if they detune it there will be no chance against the m5
They should put the real thing , and put a stiker "powered by lamborghini" i bet that would grab a lot of attention ... i still can remember some lancia sedan powered by a ferrari engine , and a Opel Omega powered by Lotus ...

I think that would be negative for the image of the gallardo, why buy one
If you can have a "cheaper" Audi.

Cuz its not the same ...... the audi will be much softer , much more a family sedan ready to be pushed really hard ... the gallardo is a true sports car , Ferrari had powered Alfa Romeos , Lancia and Maserati , they share technology and is not a problem for ferrari´s image
