That was shot at the pistonheads vmax meeting last sunday at bruntingthorpe. The RUF was clocked at 200mph. There are lots of vids of that meet being posted on the pistonheads.com forum in the vmax section.

Very cool video, props to the brabus for holding its own against the RUF. That however was not an S V12 but an SL, very impressive anyway though
thanks for sharing

That Brabus SV12 was awsome before they imported the S600 into the US, but now that they did, it isn't that great anymore. And it wasn't an SV12; they have Brabus' signature 4-foglamps in the bumper

Thanks for the comments guys, you have same thought I do.
I have seen the same RUF Porsche do 0-190mph in 32 seconds. AMS tried the Brabus SV 12 to do 0-186mph in 43 seconds.
SO I was expecting a total obliteration of the Brabus, but it kept up, well...

Great one thanks. The Brabus is really fast on the acceleration but the Ruf catched up gradually. Also loved the demonic red color on the Ruf.

I think that (186mph=300km/h) there is some misunderstanding....
I read in Sport Auto 2002/1 that the SL55 AMG does 0-300Km/h in 32 sec...
So can it be that the Brabus SL 6.3 is slower?????

That RUF is so sexy. Both of them are extremely fast. Im surprized that the RUF didnt do a better job keeping up in the first part though.

Ahmed, that Sl55 tested at Nardo was fake... AMS wanted an SL55 to test against the best of the rest. Daimelr Chrylser "borrowed" one of AMG's development prototypes, in this particualr case it was an Sl55 undergoing proving runs of the SLR engine! So basically it had 617hp! No wonder it outclassed the rest. I got this info from close friend of AMG engineers. In reality a 500hp Sl55 did 0-300 in about 43-45 seconds...
The reason the Brabus kept up so well, is firstly thr incredible mid range pull and its an auto, so gear changing is incredible as well.
Thanks for your comments guys..
